Step-by-step setup

Follow the steps in order. The full setup takes 3 min.

  1. 1

    Have your IPTV credentials ready

Your IPTV provider will send you an M3U URL or Xtream Codes credentials (server URL, username, password) by email after you subscribe. Have those details on hand before starting.

  2. 2

Download the app from the App Store

On the Apple TV home screen → App Store → search 'iPlayTV' (or 'GSE Smart IPTV'). Install.

  3. 3

    Launch the app

Launch the app. On first launch it asks for local network access — allow. You land on the 'Add Playlist' screen.

  4. 4

    Add your playlist

Pick 'Add' → 'M3U URL' → paste the URL from your welcome email. Or use Xtream Codes — same outcome.

  5. 5

Wait for the EPG to load

iPlayTV downloads the EPG in the background. Takes 30-60 seconds for the first load.

  6. 6

    Start watching

Channel list on the left, EPG grid in the centre. Press play to start. Hold Siri remote down for picture-in-picture mode.

Done! If anything still isn’t working, check your provider’s support page or email hello@streamnest.tv and we’ll try to help.

Troubleshooting

  • App stops in the background

Apple TV pauses idle apps. Reopen iPlayTV to resume — no settings change required.

  • Audio out of sync on some channels

iPlayTV: Settings → Player → Audio Codec → Auto. Some channels ship AC3 audio that tvOS doesn't always handle — pick 'PCM' for those.
