We use Google Analytics 4 — but only with your consent. Here is the full picture of what the site stores and when.

Summary
streamnest.tv sets no tracking cookies until you click “Accept” in the consent banner. Before that, Google Consent Mode v2 runs in “denied” mode — Google Analytics loads in the background but stores no cookies, no client ID and no IP address. If you click “Decline”, that state is permanent on this device until you clear your browser data.
What gets set when you click “Accept”?
_ga(Google, 2 years) — assigns your browser an anonymous ID so we can distinguish returning visitors in aggregate. No individual tracking._ga_V0V9RYYZQB(Google, session) — GA4 session cookie with the same purpose.
We use anonymize_ip, we do not share data with Google for ad personalisation, and we have disabled Google Signals. Measurement is aggregate only — to understand which content is useful.
What gets set if you click “Decline” (or don’t answer)?
No GA cookies. Google Analytics keeps running but sends only fully anonymised consent-denied pings — no ID, no IP storage, no cookies. This is the privacy-preserving baseline compliant with GDPR, CCPA and similar frameworks.
What is stored locally in your browser (regardless of consent)?
- localStorage — consent flag: your response to the consent banner is stored as a flag so we do not ask again. This is a strictly necessary function — it never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers. Clear it via browser settings any time.
- localStorage — theme preference: if you switch to dark or light mode, that choice is saved locally so the same theme appears on your next visit.
Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookieless
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page loads and Core Web Vitals. It is explicitly cookieless — no device identifiers are set, and only aggregated anonymous statistics are collected. No consent is required.
Cloudflare security
To defend against bots and DDoS attacks, Cloudflare may occasionally set a short-lived security cookie (__cf_bm, max 30 minutes) during an active challenge. This is a strictly necessary security cookie, consent-exempt.
How do I clear everything?
Go to your browser settings → Privacy and security → Site data → clear data for streamnest.tv. Alternatively, visit the site in incognito / private mode, where nothing persists between sessions.
